Woodinville, Washington
A
popular day trip destination, drawing more than half a million
visitors annually to its two major wineries, Chateau Ste.
Michelle Winery and Columbia Winery, and a million visitors
to Molbak's, a 16-acre greenhouse and nursery. In addition,
visitors find a number of outstanding points of interest
here, including approximately 30 other wineries, the Redhook Brewery,
and Willows Lodge & The Herbfarm Restaurant. Every year,
thousands of people enjoy walking, biking, horseback riding,
in-line skating and running along the Sammamish River Trail,
which is connected to the City's tourist district
by a bridge, as well as, Wilmot Gateway Park. Sammamish
River Trail connects to the Burke Gilman, uniting Woodinville
and the east side to Seattle. Woodinville celebrates its
community with the annual event "Celebrate Woodinville,"
which includes the All Fools’ Day Parade (sponsored
by the Woodinville Chamber), Basset Bash, and the City's
celebration of cityhood. The City Parks & Recreation Department brings you the DeYoung Summer Concert Series, and the Holiday Light Festival.
As of April 26, 2007, the state of Washington has 500 licensed wineries. About 40 of them are located in the City of Woodinville.
